I just adopted a dog a few weeks ago and every time I come home she jumps on me and whimpers and wags her tail like there’s no tomorrow. It’s really cute but it happening every day is crazy. I thought she’d be used to me by now lol.
If you enjoy it (like I do) then do just enjoy it! If you want her to tone it down, ignore her for 5 minutes every time you come home. (But what’s the fun in that?)
Rescue dogs are grateful you rescued them! The sweet boy we just rescued jumps up and hugs you around your waist. No pawing and clawing just a sweet hug! I don’t want to train that out of him, however I would like him to stay off my bed! He weighs 70 pounds!

Dogs don’t really know what “hours” means. Anything over 15 minutes is FOREVER!

Its when the dog doesnt jump down off the couch to greet you at the door that you have to check on your dog.

My friend says that if you’re gone more than an hour the dog assumes you’re dead and starts to forage for food
