I hate when I dial the right number and hear your call cannot be completed as dialed I’d like to reach into the phone and punch the lady and say it was justifiable battery if there is such a thing anyone else have that problem???!!!!!
After Hurricane Katrina, no cell phones were working, but the land line was! It was difficult to get thorugh, with so many people using it, but eventually you could. Cell phones did not work until you got about 150 miles out of the city. We were going to a relative’s house and could only call her to tell her we were on our way when we got close. So much for cell phones…
I have a cell for when I’m out of the house – insurance on the road, IF I’m not in a “dead zone.” I have a 10-foot coil on the land line, plus a 10-foot cord to the wall, and a 25-foot cord on the other phone. Like truecanadianliberal said, no “dead zones” in the house. And no wasted time looking at texts.

Still on a land line, huh? Otherwise he’d need to use the other thumb.

Not always. Cell towers can lose power too, or be so overloaded they won’t accept any more calls.
