No. I don’t. Perhaps that college football player was a relative, or someone the owner looked up to, or some trait of the puppy reminded the owner of the player. For whatever reason, the dog was named in honor of that person. Who said the dog would be lower in priority?

So far, being old isn’t a crime. Perhaps ’cause most judges are getting old themselves? :-)
