When we first adopted Charlie Brown, we separated him from Lucy by putting him in the upstairs bathroom. That lasted about 3 days; we kept seeing him in the hallway and kept blaming each other for leaving the door open. Then we looked at each other, put him back in the bathroom and shut the door, which had a lever type door handle. Sure enough, a moment later the door opened. The little stinker figured out how to jump on the sink and push the handle…
I remember the last time something happened to Spock…It had a happy ending, but it was so touch and go. I hope he doesn’t put us(me!) through that again!
One night a fire truck went down the street and stopped near by. I was standing in the door way watching. When things quieted down I closed the door and went back to doing what I was doing before. It was the next morning that I noticed a cat that look like mine running around outside and trying to get back in. My cats are indoor cats so I never thought it was her out there. She had slipped out unnoticed when we were watching the fire down the street.
One of our cats surprised himself one night by opening the screen door and basically, falling out. He was so shocked he just came right back in. He still tries to repeat, so we have to make sure it is locked.

This “Heart of the City” storyline is going to be like the 1984 movie “Star Trek III”.

Amazingly enough, some Cats can figure out how to open an unlocked door. Their only problem… Grip.
