Is this perhaps a foreshadow of Becca (Jeff’s publisher)? Her facial structure is quite similar, they both wear glasses and they are both quiite hot. Her hair color’s a bit different but that’s not necessarily significant.

I like the way her right “decolletage” slips out in panel 4.

I recall the Sam-goes-to-England series, but had forgotten about this particular strip. Get old, and you can enjoy the reruns more, when cartoonists take a well-deserved hiatus.
