Rover, keep the privacy fence, but invite Zeke and Reuben inside to play!

That fence isn’t good enough. Needs to be higher.

1965,,,,riding a red bike, humping over the handle bars, Dickie (my Collie) beside me…taking in all the wonders of Dumas, Texas- population3,042….no predators, no crime per se, and lots of folks that stood in for your parents if need be…home, protection, sweetness and comfort…and an occasional hoola hoop and sidewalk surfer…what a great time to listen to the Beatles, Beach Boys and Stones and just enjoy life!

Is it just me or do most of our good times involve a dog in our lives at the time?

Frost was quoting an old farmer in The Mending Wall. He spent the rest of the poem arguing against that view. He even recited it (to thunderous cheers and applause) in East Germany while the wall was still standing.
