Why the new look for the Yo-Yos?

BTW, how will Guy get away with using that name? Yo-Yo is a trademark.

I remember TWO versions of the Yo-yos. They seem to have shape-shifting capability.

The ones I remember (which I really ought to go back to look up) were tiny green (or blue?) round-headed fellows wearing white robes (OK, handkerchiefs). Does someone have easy access to those stories (from the original comics or the John Stanley hardback reprints) who can describe them accurately?

The yo-yos were green with yellow or gold backs. They look the same now, except they are not green.

Una reminds me of Luna Lovegood.

The yo-yos looked like little green turtles that had yellow shells. They were always chasing Nancy and she always got away just in time.

Newenglandah, cartoonist John Stanley is perhaps best remembered for his “Little Lulu” comic books, but he also had a wonderful run with “Nancy” comics, and that’s where he created the Oona Goosepimple character. Oona has always been a member (whether real or imaginary!) of the Nancy-verse.

OK, here is a comics page drawn by John Stanley featuring the “classic” look of the yo-yos:-http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/parsellpost/short%20strips/NANCY175-206.jpg

Newenglandah ~ Perhaps you’re thinking of Annie, sister of Iggy in the Little Lulu comics.

We’ve suffered in silent agony. Glad to ‘see’ you here, too.

I love the Nancy’s feet off the groungd bow flying, hair standing straight up coupled with the old-school dotted line marking eye direction. Guy, you just keep on delivering us nothing but the best in classic styling!

Oona reminds me of Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family movie.

I hope these Yo-yos appearing in the street doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing the Door Behind the Fireplace.
