Damn. I’m old enough to get the “Good night Chet, Good night David” joke. (I’m assuming most people could get “Good night, John-Boy,” thanks to cable, but the other…?)
(Okay, I’ll clue in the three other people who read this comic: Chet Huntley and David Brinkley were, of course, TV news men. They were also the names of Eddie’s pet fish, to whom he said Good night in what seemed like every episode on The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, which I watched because I thought Bill Bixby was cute.)
Fox News ROCKS! ! !
At least they report on things the OTHER news stations never even mention. If you let the “Powers-that-be” hide stuff from the public view, the government will overpower the people’s RIGHTS.
I had forgotten that about Eddie’s fish! I thought Bill Bixby was cute, too. That show and Julia were way ahead of their times. Yeah, I know about the Jack Lemmon movie, but for TV it was very ground-breaking.

Bland is reality. Fox flavor is pure fiction.

Fox is simply the biased balance to the biased other networks.

That’s what made Bill Bixby’s line, “Don’t make me angry, you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry,” so delicious in The Hulk.
