To be fair, the dog doesn’t say how LONG he was waiting. On a mild day, with the windows down a little, leaving your dog in the car for a few minutes is perfectly fine. In fact, I’m sure my dog would gladly wait for a few minutes in exchange for getting the car ride. Similarly with waiting outside the grocery store. Depending on where you live, (such as in a small town), this could be a nice opportunity for some petting :)

Dogs spend their days waiting. Waiting for a scritch, waiting for a squirrel to go by, waiting for breakfast, lunch and dinner, waiting for a walk. Mine is happy waiting for anything with some attention at the end.

Well, sorry, owners can’t spend every waking moment with their dogs; they have actual work to do. Animals are far more self-entertaining than people may think. How on earth could dogs have survived on their own for thousands of years before they were domesticated????
