When you say ‘day’, are you referring to the daylight hours or the period from midnight to midnight? In some religions a holy day period starts from sunrise and in others from sunset. And is the ‘day’ you refer to being defined in local time, Mecca time or some other reference point? All these Western, helio-centric, 7 day Judeo-Christian, geopgraphically ignorant assumptions are highly offensive (to someone, somewhere, I am sure!)

And this ‘nice’ business seems to assume we want to party whereas this special day may be in memoriam for fallen comrades, a tragedy that went before or to remember a brutal wrong-doing. Again, highly offensive and ignorant to demand others find it ‘nice’!

And who the heck are you to dictate to someone else what sort of day someone else should have anyway? Such arrogance!

Finally, ‘a’ day? Just the one? Just because your holidays are significant days, why cannot other cultures celebrate longer periods? Why can only one day be nice?

So take your politically incorrect ‘Have’, ‘a’, ‘nice’ and ‘day’ and rethink it!

    (Yes, that’s mostly sarcasm.)
