Late one night, years ago, the little old lady next door came over to borrow a torch so that she could see where the smoke under her house was coming from. Fire brigade arrived just in time.
“If you did not clear the fire with the Homeowners Association they are going to levy a fine on you. No fireplaces are allowed.”On a side note…..I remember a guy back in Ozona, Texas who checked his house for a gas leak. He could smell it but did not know the location…..so he struck his lighter so he could see as he had shut off the lights to avoid an explosion……Got a new house built and only spent a few weeks in hospital. He did find the leak.This same guy when asked to see if the electricity was on who stick his screwdriver into a socket.
