I was just watching an episode of the old BSG.But John, do you know the actual origin of the name? Without looking it up. I’m assuming of course that what QI told me is correct and that it comes from Moby Dick.
The creators of Starbucks apparently liked Moby Dick were originally going to call the chain Pequod (the name of the ship) but that was rejected so they settled on the name of the first mate Starbuck, who is apparently described as loving coffee.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starbucks#History
