Janis: Maybe Arlo has a point!
Janis: I mean, I have my health! I look better than a lot of women my age!

That is why I like this strip. Jimmy will create a story arc about a serious subject and in the end it gave both a chuckle and made you reflect on the subject.
To avoid getting to be too preachy he will throw in Ludwig on his hind legs doing the Cha-Cha-Cha.
She has nothing at all to worry about. Unless, of course, one day, she actually gets to take a bath without an Arlo ogle. Then, it will be time to worry. (Or time to see if Arlo still has a pulse.)

“When you´re old your mind works . . .” With the wisdom of age, I thought up a neat bumper-sticker slogan yesterday. Then, with the way my mind works now, I forgot it!
When my “ex-girlfriend, but still close friend” would complain about her looks, I’d have to stop myself from saying, “But I don’t want a beautiful (or thin, or whatever) girl, I want you.”
So true! Reminds me of a passage I read in a Gary Grant biography. The author said that what made him so charming in real life was that, when he walked into a party, his attitude was not, “Hey, here I am!” but rather, “Hey, there you are!” That goes along with a quote from Maya Angelou: ’I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.’ (Add – forget how you looked – into that.)

Janis looks great, and that is what Arlo was really saying yesterday.By experience, I have learned it does not matter what Arlo or I think, however.
