Calvin sounds a lot like us today. It’s the human condition. Even those of us who feel that we are impartial and listen to both sides of an issue before making up our minds, may feel that others are wrong for failing to be as impartial as us.

One of the most important lessons I ever learned: when two people disagree, it doesn’t mean one is right and the other is wrong. It simply means they don’t agree.
Well, except if you disagree with that. And maybe Hitler was wrong too. Except, well I guess some people are saying that the Holocaust didn’t really happen, so all the people who believe it did are wrong? This is complicated. Okay, how about suicide bombers? Well, maybe they just had a bad childhood. So all those Christians must be wrong since they want to point out that everyone else is wrong – those haters. What do you mean I’m doing the same thing? I just want everyone to be right so that everyone is happy and peaceful. So I’m right and everyone else is wrong. Right?
leftwingpatriot: Yep, you are so right. Sadly it would be as a far right Republican, the kind that can see Russia when looking out the kitchen window of there Alaskan home.

I could certainly argue against that, Calvin. I’d that everyone is always right and you are always wrong.

Just write what you’ve just said, Calvin.
Oh wait… I remember how scary and strict Miss Wormwood is.
I wouldn’t want to put you through that.
