There’s a ski lift on the opposite side of the valley where I live. Not so noisy unless they produce snow. Which they do even – or rather especially – at night.
To all the New Year Eve’s babies born today last day for birthday as I, Happy Birthday to all. Everyone have a safe New Years Eve tonight. We do not drink staying home watching ABC Rockin Eve from New York. I’m on Central time so hope to stay away by 11pm then bed time.
we have to realize that crude oil is natural. I am sure that there have been many oil pools that went into water. Given time mother earth will prevail.
Another case of nature recovering much faster than the “experts” expected was Yellowstone. Huge fires in 1988, and many thought it would take centuries to recover. Were they surprised that recovery started within months, and within a couple of years, most areas were green and growing again—albeit with transitional foliage, not the “climax forests” that had been there.
But then, in nature, “climax forests” tend not to be as long-lasting or as consistent as in areas where we’ve suppressed fires for decades.

If dad did all of the work and paid for everything and Calvin kept all of the money it would be a great idea.

Besides — you take out the trees, what’s left for you to run into and bring your sled/wagon/cardboard box time machine/ whatever to a dead stop?

And it’s that kind of thinking that’s gonna end with progress causing our own extinction.
