The Mbuti people of the Congo rain forest rarely exceed 5 feet in height. Wrong way? In 1930, Charles Creighton and James Hagris drove a Model A Ford from New York to Los Angeles and back- in reverse gear! The Tuatara lizard of New Zealand breathes as little as once per hour.

You could do that with the older cars, drive backwards, and the odometer would roll back.

The tuatara is NOT a lizard but belongs to completely seperate order of reptiles. The two species of tuatara are the only surviving members of its order, which flourished around 200 million years ago

Just by the wording of the one in reverse, I think the car was modified. So it was in reverse gear, yes, but it was not like they were facing the wrong way in their seats.

A girl I knew once was stopped by the police for driving in reverse! Explained that she had driven too far from home that day and was trying to take off some of the mileage!
