Adam: Okay. Should we stop at the Hartley's? Katy: No!! They give out apples and dental floss! Clayton: What kind of sick people would do such a thing? Adam: It does make me question their character. Katy: I'll say. Clayton: What's next? Root canal coupons?

Sounds just like my neighborhood. And it’s supposed to be 68 with a chance of thunderstorms. My son will be at home to pass out candy in case any kids come by. I will take my little girls out unless thunderstorms actually start.

I don’t give out candy any more. The last time I did most of the visitors were teenagers taller than me, no costumes, collecting candy in pillowcases.

Thunderstorms?!? Dude, where do you live?I suppose that’s better than a blizzard and two feer of snow, though…

When I was growing up, the best house to go to was the local dentist. He would cook hot dogs, and hand them out, hot and fresh. We’d always go there halfway through the night.

Ok, I should have cut it out and saved it, but I read that only one instance of an apple having some foreign substance in it (pin or razor blade or whatever) was ever validated, and the perp was immediately caught. But be careful, because there’s a mugger behind every tree, a child abductor behind every door, and a communist (socialist, liberal or conservative) under every bed – or so the media would have you believe. Oh how I long for the 1950’s when candy bars were regular sized, we’d see how many houses we could hit, shopping bags we could fill, and our parents doled out the candy each night until it was gone. I wonder if UNICEF was the start of the downslope.

Dental floss? Sounds like they crossed over to the Patterson’s strip.

They sound awful whiny to me. Going around asking for free stuff and then griping about what they get.

Okay, thunderstorms may not be unusual for you, but here in Darkest Saskatcewan, snow is more likely. However, it’s threatening light showers tonight. Temperature at 18 hrs CST: 6ºC.

We give out packs of cookies, and the kids let us know they like them. I hear them passing the word to others. We got over 60 kids tonight.
