Urban legends on the poisoning of Halloween candy and the razor blades in apples. If you want more info on that please check out http://www.snopes.com/horrors/poison/halloween.asp
My kids are dying to get on the exchange today- they got home well after bedtime last night with TONS of good stuff, and this morning was school. It’ll take hours to get everything all sorted out and in the hands of the right kids :-) . LOVE Halloween!
We had a grand total of 4 kids last night. One group of 3 and one by himself. Even the neighborhood kids, of which there are plenty, go elsewhere anymore.
I hope Gracie loves sugar-free lollipops, candy corn, and gum. By my math, she will most likely receive 9 sugar free suckers or 5 bubble gums for every chocolate bar she gives out. Almost no one will have apples, so that is just a stage in trading. A few people may have candy corn, and it will take roughly 14 candy corn packets to get a piece of chocolate.
My daughter got an apple last night. I performed an apple exchange when she got home. The new apple is now in the trash. Along with any questionable candy (loose wrappers, foreign candy…)
then please, find the news reports and send it to snopes so they aren’t handing out misleading information!
We didn’t get any apples but mine would trade their fake sugar candy for as many as they could get their hands on.
I hand out a glow bracelet (dark streets) and a few pieces of candy. There have been several kids (esp. small ones) who get happier on the bracelets than the candy.

Love candy corn. Chocolate too. Love it all. Too bad it is poison to your body.
