Snoopy usually isn’t insulted by being referred to as a beagle. In fact, he is usually proud.

Ain’t no, is a double negative which means Snoopy IS saying he IS a stupid beagle, However it’s the stupid part he is objecting to.

The discussion comments here is almost as bad as Charlie Brown’s meetings on the mound.

If Snoopy was drawn to be a true beagle, he’d be tricolored (no brown, no beagle.)

STRIP REPLACEMENT ALERT!: Instead of running a 1966 strip which has “ONLY 8 MORE DAYS UNTIL BEETHOVEN’S BIRTHDAY” (since there would be no date in 2013 for a daily Peanuts strip where there is 8 more days until Beethoven’s Birthday) this December 1960 Peanuts strip gets run instead (This strip previously was rerun in 2007)!

Good ’ol Snoop might be in denial. In earlier days Snoopy may have been like my dog and thought he was a person.

For 40 years I’ve wondered about the literary reference in this strip, or if there even was one. Thanks, Leslie Barks!

CB has no hair because his father is a barber and keeps it buzzed. A barber’s children? Get what is easiest, he saves his skills for paying customers.

Once in a while, a strip from another time periods (1960, for example) is inserted to make the sequencing of this year’s strips (1966) more in sync with 2013.

They ran some strips recently where Snoopy was sleeping in bed with CB. Snoopy couldn’t get comfortable and ended up sleeping on the headboard they way he sleeps on his roof.

“I ain’t no stupid Beagle” is paraphrased from a violent western movie.
