Dropped a dime on him, eh?….Franklin Mint? Wake up little Susan, you’re going to want get your three cent’s worth, (inflation) in here…….Is Dan trying to coin a phrase….?
Forgot to say (can you believe there’s anything I didn’t say?)….
@SunflowerGirl…. from yesterday…Actually, I admit…. in the strip, AFAIK, it wasn’t the “Win one for the Gipper” speech…Cos I don’t think there’s really much of a speech…except for that one line from the movie, which I did twist, in my comment, cos it made me think of that.
Bruno,I was parked on an Illinois drag strip’s hard-packed dirt parking lot back in the 60’s. I let the clutch out when leaving and the tires squealed like crazy. Extended no rain conditions and the dirt was like pavement. I’ve never noticed it again B/4 or since. Oddities!!!!
OK, Franklin D Roosevelt (the dime) threw Ben Franklin ($100 bill) in the fountain so he wouldn’t get thrown in himself. But where does the car come in? “I cannot tell a lie” is Washington ($1 bill)?

You’re right, Varnes….I was idling….It’s pretty exhausting, coming up with this stuff….Tires me out, so I had to take a little brake.
Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

Meanwhile… he threw Ben??? A $100 bill in the fountain?
That WOULD be criminal.
If you can’t do the time, dime, don’t do the crime.
If money is involved, your best friend’ll drop a dime on you …don’t look for change there.
(It’s a quarter to two, and I’m running out of gas here….)
