The Buckets by Greg Cravens for November 13, 2013

Toby, you don't have to wonder what sort of grades you'll get in school. If you focus in class, keep good notes, study, follow directions and do your best work, you'll know you'll get good grades every time. Dad, I'm sure it was like that in your day, but that old-fashion stuff doesn't work anymore!

Sadly Toby has a point. The current “teach to pass the tests” theory has little to do with notes and best work. When we in the old school had to break everything down and explain how it worked and show your work is out of fashion to the newer ways.

So Toby, tell us how it is done in 2013. .Over the years what with school, night school courses etc therehave been several exams where by showing my work – I have gotten partial marks. Because I had the equations right, if reverse is right. Lol
