Marigold: I have a solution. I shall transfer the magic from Dakota's hair... into this plate of spaghetti.
Goblin: BLAART!
Dakota: I win.
Goblin: Blart.
and so the Spaghetti monster god was born. Unicorn! I just hope theres still SOME magic left in the hair. I’ll miss the hair if not it made Dakota interesting like having a super power. On the other hand the hair could just be re-enchanted some how and made Goblin-proof or some thing and then theres the whole Gobkota thing. Will she come home to a Goblin being a better Dakota then Dakota was? Will she get to keep her new little sister? Or will we just never go back to this plot line after today?
I could see the ‘Goblin Queen’ eating the spaghetti and useing that magic by changing into a pretty blonde ponytailed girl who becomes friends with Phoebe and Dakota, making them less “Frienemies” and more Friends.
So many questions! If you eat magicked spaghetti, do you get magic…you know…?
Or will the spaghetti resist being eaten and take on a life of its own, becoming the Flying Spaghetti Monster of legend?
And won’t Dakota miss her magic hair?
Prunella’s still adorable (I hope Prunella and Litl Gerl will be recurring characters), but I’m a little disturbed to realize she’s not wearing so much as a shirt.
Well good. Dakota gets to keep her hair. And it isn’t magic hair anymore. Everyone wins! But where did the plate of pasta come from? Even for a unicorn that is pretty weird and a little far fetched. It’s…cheesy. Pun fully intended.
I just hope Dana takes all our comments as research on what to do with her story lines. We certainly do give a lot of feed back it would be nice to know we inspire or influence her as much as she does us. If the fans aren’t satisfied by the strip fan fics will spring up
maybe its not spaghetti, maybe Marigold brought it with her for a snack on her and Phoebe’s quest; maybe in making the burger joint for camouflage the goblins didn’t know what burgers were; maybe it was an editing mistake in her favor (see old brisk ice tea commercial) maybe we should tune in tomorrow…
I don’t get it. Why would that solve the problem? Do goblins have a thing for spaghetti? Why would it be so bad for the queen to win? Why is Dakota happy? I mean she loves being the winner but does she realize her hair isn’t magic anymore (presumably). Wouldn’t that bum her out?

In defeat, she gives up one of the "a"’s from “blaart” as a symbol of concession to the victor.

Free at last, free at last. Thank Marigold almighty, Dakota’s free at last.

Acts disappointed.

So does Blart in this case mean, ‘Dang’ or ‘Who cares I have magic spaghetti’?

I either found the subtlest-ever-reference or the funniest-ever-coincidence of the comic:

So it’s not OK for Phoebe to try to distract Dakota, but it is OK for Marigold to distract Prunella. History is written by the winners.

Though the goblins are practically naked, you will notice how their chests and naked butts have been so artfully concealed.
Neo Stryder about 11 years ago
If she could do that, why didn’t she do it when the hair begun to show it was alive?
ewalnut about 11 years ago
Where did that spaghetti come from?
Hag5000 about 11 years ago
By “I”, you mean Marigold, right Dakota?
Stellagal about 11 years ago
I believe we can translate that last blart into “but who wants to wear a plate of spaghetti?”
Stellagal about 11 years ago
Now Dakota has to kick the fake Dakota out of her house and go pants shopping.
scyphi26 about 11 years ago
I don’t think the spaghetti got magicked at all, it was just a ploy to get the Goblin Queen to break her concentration and lose the staring contest.
But I suppose we’ll see for certain tomorrow.

What if ‘Litl Gerl’ is not ready to quit being Dakota?

At least Dakota let Phoebe go from her hair.

The plate of spaghetti came from the kitchen. After all, they’re in a diner!
