Our church’s Christmas pageants are usually comedic with a slight twist. Last year it was “Christmas In Reverse”, and one segment this year (by the Youth Group) told the Story of Christmas entirely in puns! However, this year there was also a serious segment where I started to cry, which was VERY inconvenient, as I was one of the narrators!
I understand the humor…but if after several years of marriage you still think your husband is “matter-of-fact about these things” (in other words, you don’t know him that well), there’s a problem…
So sweet. This year, all 3 of my kids and both the pastors’ kids were in it, we were sitting with other parents and every one there was struggling, between laughter and crying, all night.
What is it about Christmas plays that causes us to get teary eyed! I’m the same way, especially when I hear a beautiful rendition of Carol of the Bells!!
I get teary-eyed if I hear someone singing in a beautiful voice. I do that in church a lot. I have to dab my eyes but, I pretend I’m just wiping away perspiration.
