It’s much funnier if Andy and Chalkie appear to be paying attention.^^Yup, I have been studying cartoons for 40 years, and, it was pretty obvious that they were telegraphing the punchline again--

That’s the one good thing about being a bookie. You’re going to make money on the “vig” no matter what. You just have to know what to cover and what to lay off.I’ve always felt that the Irish and English had the right idea about off-track betting. The bettor had the option of paying the 12.5% tax either on his winnings or on his bet. Smart money would rather pay, for example, the equivelent of .25 on a $2.00 bet than $12.50 off a $100 win. The tax is collected right at the betting shop. Since there are more losers than winners , the government is happy with it’s cut, the Bookie with his share and if he’s lucky, the punter with his winnings.
Yes I’m up.-Caffeine never used to affect me. I could still go to sleep easily. I hardly ever have an early night. I’m always up very late even without the caffiene. It takes it’s toll on me but I never learn from it. -Night-Gaunt does look like a pretty cool person after seeing his photo.-Personally, I would never feel comfortable meeting anybody off GoComics no matter how long I’ve known them. I think I would only do it once and that’s it. I’m not very sociable to start with but I like it that way.-I think my photo looks fine to me. I respect your opinion though. I must admit that I do cheat by editing them a little but I’m not ashamed. If it wasn’t right to do that then there wouldn’t be any photo editing software at all. I use the editing on my phone.-It was great to hear from you while you were on your trip. Glad you’re back properly now though. If that makes sense.
You mentioned….“about 17 astronomy domines ago”.In 1969/70 I was at a college gig when a local band (Bill Ford’s Angels) did a version of “Astronomy Domine”. The lead guitarist did a brilliant solo using a 6 inch nail….I have never heard such sharp notes since. He was an exceptional guitarist (his name was John Hayhoe….are you reading this John?) I wonder what he went on to do.

My name was mentioned in Luann today … Probably won’t happen on this strip though… I wouldn’t think the 3 clowns like me very much, haha.

I’m always having recurring dreams about cars. Well, Not always but most of the time.
I can actually drive in my dreams.
Every time I dream about it, I’m in a different type of car each time.
Dreams are weird things.
It’s a wonder I don’t wake up with my hands moving in a steering wheel gesture.

Your second comment to me arrived when I was just about to reply to you. I love your Keep on Truckin’ picture.
The first car I was driving in my dream was a Ferrari.

Only Patrick McGoohan is fit to drive that car!I love Snoopy as the Red Baron by the way. I read and comment on Peanuts every day.
