Good to see Jeff take a break from his hectic schedule.

Remember, it wasn’t a break in the sit-on-the-beach sense, the man was working on Alpha House for Amazon.

Actually I think it’s just the sheer terror of being exposed to the usual nightmare 300 holiday snaps.

Jeff lives a rich fantasy filled life, just like people who believe in religion. Faith is another word for fantasy. Human beings are gifted at making up imaginary stories as seen in Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and the bible, bhagavad gita and koran, but they’re only just made up stories. Or would you have me believe that women really came from a man’s rib? Or that snakes turned into staffs and parted seas? Or that food fell ready to eat from the desert (dessert?) skies? I would no more believe them than Jeff’s fantasies. As for God, who knows? Growing up means learning to live with mysteries and uncertanties and not just making up imaginary beings to explain them, doesn’t it?

Great posts at the end of the day yesterday LWP. I am glad I went back and checked to see what else was said yesterday.

A return to reality in the last panel is a good idea, but it was Watterson’s standard technique in “Calvin and Hobbes”, and it is likely that Trudeau would want to avoid appearing imitative.

Oh wow, the President took a week off during the summer. I guess no other President has done that. President Obama has taken the second fewest vacation days of any modern President. Only Clinton took fewer vacation days (libs have a strong work ethic).

Good punchline but I would like to be done with Sorkh Razil. Then again, I would like the U.S. to be done with Afghanistan. Maybe SR is GBT’s way of reminding us we’re at war and it’s only romantic in the fantasies of an immature mind.

I never begrudged any president for the time they take off. Even on vacation, they are surrounded by aides and being constantly informed of what is going on.I just find it amazing how the cons throw a major hissy fit if Obama spends a week on Martha’s Vineyard or Hawaii, or takes few hours on the weekend playing golf.I am surprised the cons don’t insist on timing his bathroom breaks.
