I am more impressed he has a real arcade around. A little work and Roy could build the correct controls Defender, Pac-man and Centipede. A two way controller, a 4 way controller and a trackball, some buttons and the correct circuit board is all he needs. I know, I helped a friend rebuild a Defender a few mouths ago. It wasn’t hard, either.
the only arcade now is in a “fun” zone/bumper bowling/go kart/mini golf/family entertainment center(no booze). miss the days of killer instinct(cccombo breaker, ultra combo), nba jam, street fighter 2, and mortal kombat.
That was decades ago. I would love to find the copy of the magazine it was it. It was cool to see. That and scoring a goal on the fooseball world champs was my claim to fame back then.
I was never good at video games. I don’t have great hand-eye coordination. I like the store in the background, though… ITZA DOLLAR. I suppose it’s right next to a branch office of Dewey, Cheatem and Howe.

Playing Zaxxon might be fun again.
These places could allow a guy human interaction without actual socializing, much.

There’s a new bar in Columbus, Ohio called 16-bit arcade. It has old school arcade games, pinball and drinks. Best of all worlds!

I’m with Roy. It’s just not the same playing those old games on new devices. >Sigh.< I miss arcades. Maybe I’ll look up that place jimmyh mentioned.
