The elephant is only going to bring them mixed luck as its trunk is only pointing to a mid point, not up which is considered lucky. It’s like the horseshoe thing where up is lucky and down all the luck drains away.
I’m into science AND science fiction. My son and I got to meet Jon Pertwee when he came to Houston, Texas back in the 80’s. The new Doctor Who is OK but the classics are even better. Still looking for parts 3 and 4 of An Unearthly Child and any other lost episodes.
Lonnie you can find doctor who episodes online for downloading if you search. My favorite was Peter Davidson, I liked the ending of the 50th (spoiler alert) with the return of Tom Baker
Of course, not everything slapped withe the handy ‘science fiction’ label qualifies. As was said of STAR WARS: It’s unquestionably fiction, but it isn’t science.
The first series I saw was Tom Baker’s, IMHO that’s a tough act to follow. Some day I should convert all 34 of my Beta tapes to disc while the Beta player still works, at least I think it does.
Its OK, Roy…Cry if you want.sniff-sniff ‘scuse me whjie I get a tissue. :(Now I’ve got a reason to get a Big screen TV. So I can watch this again on DVD.
I’ve only seen it 4 times, but the 4th time was at the theater in 3D. Worth the cost. I cried and got the shivers each time I saw it. Thought the bunny was a nice touch.

Knock knock!
Who’s there?
Doctor Who.
Doctor Who who?
[Hilarity ensues.]
BTW, I thought “An Adventure in Time and Space” was excellent. Don’t miss it.
