If I pour pots and pots of boiling water down the drains weekly, or thereabouts, it works good. Has a real clean sweet smell afterwards , and drains justgo “Swoosh…”really works on the garbage disposal, too. Life is good. :)
I used to work maintenance at a ski resort. You wouldn’t believe how often I got a call to unplug a bath tub drain and all I had to do was flip the drain lever. Since the drains were always left open when a room was prepped; I always wondered how they closed the drain without realizing it would have to be flipped again to drain it.
Just what I now call “UNcommon Sense”; because common sense went out the window once Google came along…. haha…. Just like Karl in “Sling Blade” said; “It ain’t got no gas in it.” Some things just ain’t that complicated!!!!
Pouring Liquid Plumber down a clogged drain is a good way to burn any real plumber you may call later to unplug that drain. I spoken to several plumbers who got messed up because someone used Liquid Plumber before they called them.
One of the best ways to unstop a clogged drain: pour a cup of baking soda down it followed by a cup of hot white vinegar Let if bubble for about 10 to 15 minutes then follow up with boiling hot water. Repeat if necessary (usually once is enough). Doesn’t hurt the pipes and does a number on a clog.
Absolutely, totally right. And after that I make sure to keep them clear by pouring boiling water down the drains, once in awhile I like to pour bleach as well down the drains.

If the problem was the drain was closed, where did the alien life forms come from?
