Jeez – why be so mono-spiritualistic? Our old family recipe calls for brandy, rum AND bourbon (we do use Southern Comfort in place of bourbon some years to add a little extra sweetness).
But gin? Never tried it but it seems to me those aromatics may not line up with the flavor of the nog.
Regardless of what spirit is used, the nog is now off limits to Lio (it should also be off limits to Cybil as well, but I’m not going to tell her that).
