Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for May 07, 1991
Transcript:
Nate: Dad can be pretty strict. He has rules and if you break them, you are going to get it. Dad: You did what? Dad: You know, when I was your age... Nate: Like today I got in trouble at school and the teacher called Dad. So then Dad said: Nate's Dad: No TV for two weeks! Nate's Dad: When you have children of your own... Blah blah yak yak. Nate: Other times he will take away my allowance, or when he is really mad, ground me. Personally I wish he would come up with some new punishments. Nate: How about sending me to bed without any supper?

Go to bed without dinner? NO! I have always thought that was the meanest thing a parent could do. Never make a kid go hungry! That’s pure evil! I know that this is a comic strip, but I’m talking about the real world!
