Wait til Chip (pun intended!) finds out the Penny’s ate half the Pringles. And you can bet Burl will avail himself of the free breath mints. Did the GinkoBilboa go bad or what?
Crust Foods is right up there with Customer Service. Free parking from 10 pm until 5 am, always a crowd pleaser. Though sadly, all their courteous checkers except on Saturday have had their jobs sent overseas. (Bain Capital?) But they still have their ideals; they still mark their food either “fresh” or “not.” Life is good.
I think they put out the Breath Mints FOR the Pennys…..whenever they see them coming, they hurry to tape up the sign.
Crust Foods is not a generous place, as you can see….
But after a few close encounters with Burl in his normal state, everybody who ever works the customer service deskwas pleased to put in 50 cents to help cover the price of a 10 pound bag.
They do have to warn the new employees …. just put 5 or 6 mints in the dish … otherwise Burl would leave the store 10 pounds heavier.
Burl has probably been saving the broken chips from the last few Pringles containers to put back in this one to complain and get a free can. When it comes to Penny complaining, there is always a devious plan for getting something undeserved for nothing. True customer service scammers, all the stores know the type.
Chip should tell him what Mr. Rockwell, the music producer, once told Fred Flintstone (in the infamous episode w/Hoagy Carmichael! Yow!) : “Good! You might find the little pieces easier to chew!”
