I think Chad is joking, because Lincoln Peirce has presented Chad in prior strips as having a keen sense of humor.

Obviously for the joke potential, but why couldn’t they have the monopoly game at Francis or Teddy’s house?

I feel bad for Ellen for having her party in HER house. With Dad to ruin it.

Chad, Chad, Chad. We’re not in first grade anymore. Apples to Apples would be more fun.

We didn’t play Chutes & Ladders, I was stuck in a never ending cycle of CandyLand with my little sister.

I’m glad Lincoln Peirce STILL makes big Nate comic strips. He is a blessing to the comic world. Without him I wouldn’t make comic strips. So I’m glad Lincoln Peirce can still make big Nate comic strips!! Sincerly, BIGNATE246 [A.K.A LINCOLN PEIRCE’S BIGGEST FAN].

I wasn’t aware of this until recently, but apparently there are now special rules included in every Monopoly game for speeding things up. I always love the idea of playing Monopoly — in theory. Then, after the game’s been dragging on for two hours, the thrill is gone.
