When my daughter started eating in a highchair, my oldest cat would plant his back paws on my lap and his front on the tray. Anything that didn’t make it to her mouth (and stay there), he would lick up.
My daughter would wipe her hands covered with mashed potatoes or liver sausage in her hair. I tried to keep her from doing that, but there were times that I forgot and missed the moment. That lasted for about two months when she finally decided to put the food in her mouth.
