I had a cat who used to eat grasshoppers; alive.

My greyhound had been known to eat a dead mouse and a cicada, and we suspect our pitbull mix eats frogs when we let him run loose around the lake.

Let us be reminded that for all we love our doggies, they’re still capable of doing gross and disgusting things.

My brother’s labrador retriever found a (dead but fresh) flounder at the beach and wandered about with it flopping out of his mouth for around 30 minutes before eating it. He also ate dead rabbits and just about anything else that was remotely edible. Labs just eat on auto.
