Elly: I washed all of the clothes April has worn for the past 2 weeks, including hats, scarves, coats and mittens. We've boiled the sheets and pillowcases, bagged pillows and toys, vacuumed all the rugs and mattresses... and, we've all been checked thoroughly. John: Is our head lice problem over? Elly: I'm absolutely positive. John: Good! Elly: Scratch, scratch, itch, itch, scratch, scratch, itch.

I work at a child abuse/neglect hotline. You can always tell when someone’s gotten a call about lice… they invariably start scratching their head.
