“One of the oldest citizens in Gasoline Alley?” Depending on when in 1899 Walt was born, he might be the oldest human in North America. At the very least, he’s the oldest man in the world by nearly three years.

I like that Jim took the time to make the reporter’s notes visible in the strip. This arc may or may not be a portent of doom, but it sure makes me want to take the time to really read the dialogue, take in the art work and enjoy spending time with Walt.
