It’s a bit silly that a presumably educated adult would on a public forum insist that two men who lived in the Middle East would fit the equally silly modern notion of what’s considered white.

Kelly’s explanation makes no sense, as the Slate column she mentions never said what Kelly claims it did. Second, if Kelly was so obviously joking, why did her Fox co-workers (like Bill O’Reilly) take her seriously.

It DID NOT sound or look tongue in cheek to me! This is either cynical back- peddling or sick stupid right-wing not at all funny humor. It’s shameful and mean-spirited and no amount of faux excusing can change that!

Who cares? Both Santa and Jesus are portrayed as many different ways as there are differnet nationalities.

Since republicans have no sense of humor, no, she wasn’t just kidding. Nor would her audience have understood it if she were.

I just wish that people who can influence other (gullible) people would stop portraying imaginary personages (Santa Claus, Jesus, the Tooth Fairy, etc..) as real historical people.

Don’t forget , The Old Statement is a work of fiction…
