No, the wiseman was regifting it.MERRY CHRISTMAS – and for those who don’t observe Christmas, catch a movie and get some Chinese (I recommend Uncle Ted’s on Bleecker).
Click-to-enlarge image can be found at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry (yesterday).Adoration of the Magi (link shows event’s Wikipedia page) is shown, with a different coloration, maybe-click-to-enlarge image (humongous image may take a while), and described, by its current-location page. But it’s by Diego Velázquez, not El Greco. The title Wikipedia page (currently) has it right; but the Gallery image page (that Mr. Melcher, or whoever he got his image from), changed it, for some odd reason, in 2009, until I changed it back today. Its image has a slightly different coloration. The only work in the blog so far, actually by El Greco, was also shown here (if you want more info about him).Another different coloration, click-to-enlarge image, along with a description, can be found here. The actual artist’s Wikipedia page, list of works, and collection (many more under Subcategories at each level).Second, of the 2 works, by the actual artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.
I have Frankincense & Myrrh oil in a reed diffuser.Gold because He was a King.Frankincense because He was God.Myrrh because He was Human and would die (since myrrh was used in EMBALMING!)
