Vitamin C, in a massive dose, followed by a couple cups of green tea, and some soda crackers to keep the stomach settled when the vitamin C hits. After almost 60 years, I know what works best for me. So when someone else says that, who am I to disagree.

The gummy worms are probably the most effective treatment on the list…

Probably as effective as a throat lozenge.

If we only put in our body what our body needs, we would all probably be a lot healthier.

Actually, the sour gummy worms might work better than you’d think, if they have the right kind of kick. Dunno for sure, never actually had them.

I just know that when I have a scratchy throat, I eat pickles. The juice helps clear the gunk, and helps numb the pain (by burning out the nerves first, sure, but it works).

All your advice sounds………………………………helpful??? Never found anything to work but warm tea. But, I’ll keep all your home remedies in mind.

I’m diabetic so I need to be careful with home cures. Large doses of fresh garlic in chicken noodle soup or stew works for me in most cases. Yes, I’m single but I can clear ice off my sidewalk with one breath. ;-)

Zicam was, if I remember correctly, under investigation by the FDA for reported cases of damaging one’s sense of smell. Eat a bunch of grapes, get the same zinc, and have a healthy snack all at the same time.

And schedule a doctor’s appointment while your at it; not for the cold, but for the zinc overdose.
