When he gets a little older, he could create a similar effect with Christmas decoratioms.

Bosch and Goya did pretty well with that theme!

Abut time they started to show some of Calvin’s snow creatures.

I’ver tried to make a snowman (well we only had 1/2" of snow) and it was hard. I can’t imagine a 6year old making these. Altho they are funny!

Mr Watterson your snowmen look very angry. Positively scarey. Is there anything you would like to share?

Calvin’s got talent!!

Gods, one of my favorite all-time C&H strips. I love the insane/evil snowmen strips … about the only one I like better is the “Calvin the Dark God” Sunday strip that’s been on my refrigerators for over 25 years.

Sometimes, Dad just wonders why he bothers coming home…

These are works of art.

They probably assign enough. Calvin probably only allocates 2 minutes to homework no matter what the volume.

Oh, they assign it, Calvin just doesn’t do it. Hence the parent-teacher conference you’ll be attending later.

It would take a huge amount of work to build something like that, when it will just melt in the next January thaw, if it doesn’t get wrecked first by other kids, or used by dogs marking their territory.

Snow goons and monsters!

Calvin’s monster only likes frozen food, good thing huh dad?

Any child capable of snow sculpting at that level, should be exempt from homework. He’s a structural prodigy.

Apparently not. But Calvin seems to be artistic. I still don’t get why he’s in elementary school, when he seems to be intelligent. I guess that would be the work of the author who seems to not know how to relate to children.

Or children’s vocabulary, rather. He’s not the only one.

I’ve always wondered how Calvin got that snow creature to pick up that one snowman. I can’t imagine it was easy.

Some of those snowmen are structurally unsound. But I guess if we can suspend disbelief about talking stuffed tigers, we can suspend the laws of physics too.

Kids. Leave them for 5 minutes. Total carnage but good effort

He’s already got it done on the bus ride home.

I might be if he were Linus Van Pelt. But this is Calvin we’re talking about. His imagination is rather scary.

Where does Calvin find the time, or the snow, to make those?

The reason Calvin misbehaves is because he is unfathomably intelligent. He’s also bored out of his skull at school. Bored children act out.

How do you suspend a snowman in the air?

Calvin’s snowmen are the best! I wish I had his talent.

I think Calvin should go for engineering. Getting one snow creature to hold another off the ground shows skill.

What does he know about assignments?

I love Calvin’s snowmen and sculptures.
