I wish Mary would do something besides standing around looking like a model. I still don’t know what angle Silver is playing; I’ve even considered the (remote) possibility that he’s completely innocent and will be as much a victim as Vitamin….
Compliments – not complaints – aboout the coloring.GoComics has Mary’s hair correct (Comics Kingdom gave it gray highlights), and the colorist here actually highlighted Silver’s hair to make it look, well, silver! Thanks, GoComics!
I’ve been catching up on Dick Tracy , and I noticed some complaints about the story with Abner Kadaver…I really enjoyed it, and didn’t see it so much as a complete story as a chapter in the Blackhearts story (much as the Cueball/Son of Spike part of the Mr. Crime saga). And I like the fact that Tracy has never escaped from Abner’s traps on his own – the first time it was with Junior’s help, and now Blackjack – making Abner the only villain Tracy hasn’t defeated without help. If only Vincent Price were still alive, he’d be the perfect screen Abner.Speaking of movies, I wonder what Silver really collects?
@NightShade09Actually I see Lon Chaney as Abner. There is too strong a resemblance to the Vampire in “London After Midnight”Vincent price would be a good Vitamin Flintheart, especially if one takes Sisyphos’ possibility that Flintheart is the villain. I haven’t considered that idea, but it could be a great plot twist. Still I’m leaning toward the concept that some one is standing at the bottom of the river in a pair of concrete overshoes.
Once upon a time, there was a king who had several messengers in his employ. These men were all fleet of foot, but thee was one messenger in particular who prided himself on being the fastest messenger in the kingdom. Then came the day of the great battle with the enemy kingdom. All of the messengers were on hand at the battle site, ready to carry news of the battle back to the king. But the prideful messenger determined in his heart that no one would get to the king before him. So, he started running, and, sure enough, he got there first. He stood before the king, catching his breath after his spectacular run. All the court waited to see what news he would bring. They waited. . .and waited. . . and waited. The prideful runner realized, with great embarrassment, that he had been so intent on being first, he had run off without any message!Surely, you must have something meaningful to add to the discussion. If not, all the effort you put into being “first” means very, very little.
I don’t think Sisophys suggested that Vitamin was going to be the villain, only that Silver and Sprocket may be victims along with Vitamin..And I agree with whoever up there who noted that the hyena is our clue as to who the bad guys may really be..Unless the comedy films are so bad that we need Lena to provide the laugh tracks!
There is something odd going on here. At least twice, the person who posts “First!” at the start of the day (if memory serves, I think he calls himself Chris Jackson) disappears later in the day, and then any one who has replied to him has the blue@ line disappear from their post. Does he delete himself? How does that work?
But I never saw Clint as the Bad guy in those films either. yea, I know Josey Wales was an outlaw, but I saw him as an antihero. Harry Callahan was a cop who bent the rules. Not a bad guy but definitely a badarse.
Oh looks like your semicolon was a typo caused by fat fingers?the semicolon key is next to the “l”

Good morning all! Wonder what Silver’s plan is? And how does a hyena take part in bootleg film sales?

Oh, you are first! So what?

This story is very reminiscent of recent discoveries of lost early episodes of BBC’s Doctor Who at the stores of some African broadcasters.

The dead giveaway is Lena and Silver’s planned role for her. He’s up to no good. ‘Mornin’ SDM. How cold did it get last night in your “crib”?

So VERY cool they mentioned Astoria, in many ways the birthplace of this country’s film industry.

“Giving?” Those blankets I dropped off were loaners. When it warms up, I need to give them back to the horses after I de-louse them.
