Seth MacFarlane was desperate for a ratings boost, and for good reason; he’s forgotten how to be funny. Gore, vomit, and bad writing are no substitute for comedy.:If the show were cancelled again, I really wouldn’t mind, as long as the good episodes (i.e., the first three seasons) were still in syndication.
Family Guy is so stupid. Actually, all of MacFarlane’s shows are stupid. He’s just not funny – and neither are any of the shows he fronts. Just a copycat Groening wannabe, as far as I can see (and the Simpsons hasn’t been THAT great for the last fifty years or whatever). …I don’t know why MacFarlane has such credibility to be asked to host awards shows and make a bigger a** of himself.
Wow, a lot of hate for a TV show. Family Guy has had some great moments & a lot of shows where the writers were phoning it in. I can’t think of any TV show that has lasted more than a couple seasons where the same thing didn’t happen. Not everyone finds the same things funny, & most people don’t seem to have much of a sense of humor.
You weren’t supposed to like the new dog. Seems to me he needs to end it himself if he is that desperate.Maybe Macfarlane knows he’s running on fumes & was trying to piss off his fans. I wouldn’t put it past him.
I didn’t watch the show so I didn’t realize they brought the dog back. Um, Seth? Superman stayed dead a year before they brought him back. So, if you’re going to steal, do it right.

It’s OK, in a few years there’ll be a Royal Pardon and everything will be good again.

I don’t understand why that show is popular. To me, it’s annoying but not funny.

I don’t get much of what passes for humor nowadays. Must be a generational thing.

I’ve never seen Family Guy. Or Seinfeld either. Never liked the popular kind of comedy. Sorry Your Maj, you’re an exception!
