No, your Plan A stunk as well. It involved a critical dependency: that Susie would open the door. Requiring certain behavior by an unknowing person is the sign of poor planning. Try again.
At least Calvin shows some respect for adults. This shows how old the strip is because the kids today seem to be lacking some of that respect. When I was a kid and grown-ups were around you deferred.
If history is any indicator, Plan A executed on Susie would have gotten him clobbered by Susie. But, as he has indicated in the past, it would be worth it.

Damn good strip.BTW, Hollywood version of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” had the best opening credits of any movie, ever.

“Plan B” might suggest she’s told him she’s pregnant and he’s trying to induce a miscarriage

Another thing, I think Mrs Derkins has heard all about Calvin from Susie, so his ‘Plan B’ was down the tubes before it even got off the ground

Mrs. Derkins probably wouldn’t have been impressed with Plan A either.

I’m surprised Calvin didn’t smack Susie’s Mom along with a message; “Give this to Susie”. It just seems like something Calvin’s is capable of.

Susie probably spotted him out the window and told her mom to answer. She is a VERY smart kid.

And what lesson have we learned, boys and girls? ALWAYS have a “Plan B.”

My best life lesson from this comic strip was to take each day as an adventure.
