Yesterday and todays panels: Is it just me, or has Scott Stantis become a Democrat? Yesterday’s panels: If Hunny Bunny is supposed to be Hillary, and she just compared Carmen to Kevin, does that mean Bill Clinton is now a “good guy”?.Of course, if you’re a Democrat, that’s already true. But that gets back to my first question: Is Scott Stantis now a Democrat?
Who is Eric Allie? And, what Radical-Knight says makes sense because neither Carmen nor Winslow are drawn in the same style as “back in the day.”.Gone, too, for the most part, are those lush depictions of the American Southwestern Desert that used to be the backdrop for Carmen and Winslow’s Albert-and-Pogo -like conversations..In the meantime, I stumbled across this article by none other than Scott Stantis himself. Apparently, Scott worked with Dick Locher, the previous artist behind the other comic strip I follow, Dick Tracy..http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-05-20/opinion/ct-oped-0520-locher-20130520_1_college-cartoonists-dick-tracy-editorial.While Scott is praising Dick, quite possibly his mentor, I think we learn a lot more about Scott than Dick in this fascinating snippet..Hope you enjoy..
Good grief. In five hours, no one has commented? This is my fear – the “bunnies” are killing this strip! As someone else noted in the Sunday panels – perhaps we are seeing the end of Prickly City!
Night-Gaunt49: Actually, I do believe that money has corrupted our system. And, if you follow my posts, you’ll see that you and I are usually on the same side..My problem with these bunny stories is that it is no longer clear what Stantis is trying to say. Especially if this bunny is supposed to be Hillary, which many believe it is..But then, as Radical-Knight points out, perhaps Stantis is no longer behind this strip – though it’s also puzzling that the new artist isn’t getting any credit..Presently, all I can say is that this strip is confusing.
