I think I know what it is. If I’m right, it won’t stop squeaking until the batteries run down.
OK, I’ve got to ask. Why is “squeak” spelled two different ways on the ‘toon?
He wann’t sur of the spelling so he used both versions. He could have used skweeky.
Isn’t it interesting that the word “squeak” is annoying even when you read it?
“Squeek” is more passive than the forth-right “Sqeak”. I think Burgundy is right too. How about a “Squoke” every once in a while denoting a forceful intake of atmosphere? Or the opposite, “Squik” ?
