What was we thinking at that age? I had one not too long ago and they are horrible!!! Yes, those wax lips were not too good either! I don’t know if anyone remembers this candy, it shouldn’t have been sold to little kids: Had a bottle cap with some pink candy in it and they gave you a tiny spoon to dig it out with. Thank God I never ate the spoon!! It was metal and had I did I would have been either dead or in the hospital back then. Very dangerous candy. I do remember cutting my gums trying to get the rest of the candy out of those bottle caps. Anyone for a Big Boogie candy bar

What next? Celebrate at the end with chocolate cigarettes?

Growing up in Pittsburgh, I vaguely remember the wax bottles with sugary liquid. My favs all had chocolate. There was a 5 cent (5 cent!) semi-sweet Hershey’s bar that long ago vanished. And there were Boyer’s Mallow cups, made in Altoona, PA. And Skybars…..

Very generous child. The one that sticks in my mind is Necco Wafers. There are web sites where you can order those old candies, at a premium. They must do some business to stay open.
