Wow, Fang and Petey from Cul de Sac could have endless discussions about this. (I confess I have the same problem. I hate when my food touches each other.)
I have a version of that problem. If you try to make a dish which I hate, but which contains a component I normally like, I will consider even that component as destroyed.
As example, I’ll use a beef-stock vegetable soup (since I happen to like most of the vegetables in it); I cannot eat the veggies due to their being permeated with beef flavour.
I used to be like that….I mean about food touching. One of my cats loves to play in the toilet water (flushed). We have signs all around to put the lid down.

My GF has the same mini-phobia. But to the best of my knowledge she does not drink from toilet bowls. To the best of my knowledge.

I mix it all together. It all goes to the same place anyway.

For heaven’s sake, what other way is there to eat creamed corn? Put it right on top of the mashed potatoes! Only way to eat them!

I say grind it all up in a blender and drink it …like the bassomatic!

we used to put creamed corn in a dessert bowl and have it as a side dish, it didn’t make it taste any better though

How about “Lagostina’ed” (steamed in a Lagostina pressure cooker) with some cumin-pepper powder?
