    except for the disconnect coming in the next panel.

    7 times in a row. Then pushed the button for ordering and got right through

    Amazing how that works.

    I remember this call, I did this last month. It’s the I-called-yesterday-about-the-cable-being-out-and-a-representative-said-it-would-be-fixed-but-it’s-still-out-today phone call to the cable company. Then comes the part where a new representative says he has no idea what you are talking about, and of course they can’t fix it until next week sometime, and you’ll have to pay for the service call, and thank you for choosing comcast while playing his 7 thousandth game of solitaire instead of actually doing anything!

    ….But I’m not bitter about it, not at all.

    I did thisonce and did get a service rep. It is so nice to speak to a real live person. That’s half the battle:-}

    My sister used to be a cable service rep, and actually got a call from a lady complaining that her TV wasn’t working during a power outage…

    Sugie63 is right - there are times when exactly this action will prompt a voice-recognition menu system to default to a human being.

    You might give fair notice to others in your household before trying this technique, however, lest they try to use the phone to dial 911.

    Wow. It would beat all odds if the guy actually spoke perfect english! That would be a miracle!

    I guess he got his cable back when he got the job, and then it went out when he got fired!

    Hope it’s not mice eating through the cable like on Non Sequitor.
