Hey gang, sorry I missed yesterday. To answer your questions about my Baja trip, I have to start in December. I helped a friend sail his Islander 36 sailboat from San Diego to La Paz, Baja California Mexico. 23 day trip with 14 days at sea. Several days of 20+ knot winds and 12 foot seas. This was more of a yacht delivery, meaning it was a lot of work and very little fun.Let’s get to the FUN part. Late March and I get to go back to the boat and sail north from La Paz to Loreto. Hopping from pristine cove to beautiful bay every day and anchoring at night. There was fishing, snorkeling, beer, lobster, and tequila. Did I mention fishing? The weather was WAY better, high 80’s to low 90’s in the day and mid 60’s at night. We anchored in 7 different places in 19 days, spending several days in the really nice onesAnyway this partially explains my periodic disappearances from GoComics.. as if anybody cares.
I, too, anchored in 7 different places in 19 days…..my couch, my easy chair, my bed, my front porch, my back yard, my front yard, my floor……..it was real pristine!. kidding, Woodeye, I’m just jealous
Years ago, when I was about 12, I was witness to 2 dogs cornering and attacking a cat behind a chain link fence in the dead of winter. There was no way that I could stop it… my screams were ineffective. I was heartbroken, especially since one of the dogs was mine (in his defense, the other dog was clearly the aggressor and more violent of the two. My dog seemed not to know what to do…listen to me or join in?)
At any rate, here I am on a Monday morning, many years later, trying desperately not to think of that day. I love Citizen Dog ……but, I hate this story line.
Good morning Fellow Baby, cleo, sugie and all the great folks tethered here, waiting vicariously for WoodEye’s tales of adventure! Gee, I envy him! And nighthawks LOL! Along with you and Perkycat, I anchored in the same places just about, and at my office desk anchor!

Perhaps if the kitties just lean over the limb and let it rip…….the dog would go on home?

DRY, after temps in American 80’s this week, it will drop to minus one Celcius, with 12 cm snow here.
WOODEYE, can we sail with you next winter?
