How many remember a product called “Metrecal”? It was a protein based diet beverage from the early 60’s. It was designed as a substitute for a regular meal, and some folks actually lost weight..There is a story about one woman who sued the company after gaining weight while using the product; seems she would drink Metrecal with every full meal, and still gained weight!.: >)
